This week literally flew by! I was swamped and felt like I played catch up the entire time but I’m back on track and ready for the weekend. Can I get an amen?

I was catching up all week as we spent this past weekend at my cousin’s wedding in Newport, Rhode Island. I’d never visited before and loved the temporary change of scenery. Mack and I managed to sneak in a little bit of work as we played and we’re greeted with hydrangea bushes and classic homes on every corner. It was a really fun weekend and a refreshing break from our very demanding schedules. In an attempt to hold onto that feeling I’ve compiled a short list of places I’d like to visit in the coming year. Here they are:

  • Asheville, NC– Mack and I lived in North Carolina for a short period of time and we loved it. We didn’t ever make it to Asheville however so I want to stay at the Biltmore and spoil ourselves for a weekend. (Also, the downtown area looked really fun from what I saw on Southern Charm!)
  • Savannah, GA– At just about 300 miles from where we live now, Savannah is a good option for us to take a long drive for a quick trip! I love the idea of staying in a historic hotel with no plans at all but to wander.
  • Sonoma, CA– Give a girl a bike and a bottle of wine and I’m set! I’ve heard from a number of people that Sonoma > Napa Valley. I haven’t been to either but know that anything that involves drinking wine all day is right up my alley!

I am going to share what we squeezed into our short trip to Newport in Monday’s post so stay tuned. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by today!
