Bedtime is my favorite time. Hands down! You can see how I wind down after a long day in this post here, so I won’t delve into that much more. Our bedroom is so comfortable and cozy, even Rebel and Tiger couldn’t help but make an appearance in today’s post. They always snooze on our bed but any excuse to snap a pic these puppies and I’ll do it. Plus, if you follow me on Instagram, you may wonder why Tiger isn’t in my stories much. He literally won’t. sit. still. for anything! This was post-walk and a rare occasion when he actually laid down to rest.
Anyways, when it came to decorating our bedroom, which was actually one of the first rooms to be completed, I wanted it to be simple and serene yet in line with our original vision for the house. If you’re new to my blog, the theme for our home is western chic of sorts with “cowboy” touches (think cowhides, faux taxidermy, etc.) in conjunction with a mix of gold and silver tones and of course, touches of blush throughout. Friends who have visited us all ask one thing, “How did you get Mack to let you have a pink bedroom?” All I can say I am blessed haha. Anyways, I don’t know if you can tell from the photos but our bedroom is actually very small. However, as we’ve decorated this house, I’ve learned it’s much easier to decorate a small space because there isn’t that much space to fill. We’ve kept it very simple and minimal. With some personal touches throughout like our wedding photos, my ring holder and a few keepsakes, it’s ours and we love it. There’s no place like home and there’s certainly no place like your own bed!
