I hope everyone enjoyed the first official weekend of summer! I know the trendy thing to say right now is, “living my best life” but I will take it one step further and say that Mack and I are “living our summer life!” We have been so busy with family time (we have new baby nephew and we’re obsessed with him), beach time and travel time (we just got back from Texas and are California bound next month) that I’ve been side-tracked. And although I would normally get myself in a tiff over not adhering perfectly to my post schedule- I am giving myself some grace and just going with flow. And anyone who knows me will say that I am the exact opposite of a go with the flow type girl. But here’s to trying and just embracing this time Mack and I have together.
Anyways, it’s no secret that I love gingham. Sometimes I think that I should just start over in my closet with just black and white. Besides blush, I really think I could live solely on black and white clothing. But this two-tone gingham dress offers a twist on the classic pattern that I love. At first glance, I wasn’t sure if I liked the varying pattern but once I tried it one, I was surprised by how the break in pattern actually sections the dress in a flattering manner. From afar, you can just barely tell that it’s the same pattern. Furthermore, the ruffle detail and statement-making side bow reminds me of Saturdays down south- where a little extra feminine detail is always welcomed.
I tell you all every summer that I live in dresses because it’s just so hot. This gingham dress is in the rotation and will definitely be in my suitcase next month as we take San Diego! If you’re interested, there are some additional gingham options in this post, here!
I am on my way to Pure Barre this morning and then just working all day. Real exciting day over here. 😊 I hope you have a great Tuesday!
