If you’re traveling this holiday season than you’re going to need some outfits for the in-between! You know the kind- not dressy enough for Christmas Eve service but not as casual as pajamas to open presents on Christmas morning. Packing for a trip always poses a challenge when I try to plan for those days when we have nothing planned at all. I decided to be proactive and get this outfit before our Denver trip to have a go-to on hand. Granted, I will be wearing a giant coat the entire time I am there (hello, -3 degrees and snow), it’s what’s underneath that counts haha.
When calculating an in-between outfit it’s important to consider three things; comfort, sophistication and a carry-all purse! These three key factors will ensure that your in-between outfit can take you from breakfast with family to shopping with Mom, and all the way to dinner plans with friends. I decided on jeans and block heel booties for comfort, a lace top for the elegant touch and my new blush bucket bag to tote everything for the day. This bucket bag was a gift from my sister-in-law and the leather is like butter. Plus, the fact that it’s blush pink just makes it that much better (they do have an array of color options for those that maybe don’t like pink as much as I do)!
On a few recent trips we’ve taken, I simply haven’t packed well. As I am all about learning from my mistakes- in this case, packing mistakes- I hope the idea of the in-between outfit helps you too. Or maybe I am just the only person that still doesn’t know how to pack well 😂.
As you travel or stay close to home this weekend, I wish you the Merriest Christmas!
