Galentine Gift Guide

Galentine Gift Guide

Valentine’s Gift Bag | Disco Ball Cup | Pink Reese’s Where would we be without our girlfriends? Growing up with an older brother, I always appreciated that my best friends felt more like sisters. The same rings true today. I know that many of you can relate when I say that friendship is truly a gift! I always reference how men are exceedingly hard to shop for in my holiday gift guides. Luckily, we get to set them aside today and chat about what to gift your best friend this Valentine’s Day! For me, that means shop for everything I love and then give it to my friends instead. Here are three simple ways to spoil your Galentine next month: Give Pink Chocolate- When I found pink Reese’s at Target it was like my two favorite things collided. I mean, does it really even count as chocolate if it’s pink? I say no! So grab a bag for you and one for your bestie, wrap it up in cellophane, include a thoughtful card and voila!  Give a Cheers- If your friends are anything like mine then chances are they’re thirsty- mostly for rosé 🥂! Snag one of these precious disco […]

How to Plan a Productive Week

How to Style a Criss Cross Sweater for EverydayHow to Plan for a Productive Week

Criss Cross Sweater | Leopard Scarf (similar) | Black Jeans (also LOVE this pair) | Stan Smith Adidas | Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 | Sunglasses Happy Monday! I hope you had a relaxing and fulfilling weekend. We spent so much time walking the beach with the dogs on both Saturday and Sunday and it was my dream (plus the weather was perfect)! However after a relaxed weekend comes the Monday blues- but it doesn’t have to be all bad. Although Mondays are challenging (I am not going to proclaim they’re my favorite day by any means) they’re a necessary evil to kickstart the work week. With that in mind, I want to share three ways that I take advantage of Mondays to make way for a productive week. By implementing these simple actions, I find myself feeling more organized and ready to tackle my to do lists with a clear list of objectives at hand. Take a sip of your coffee and let’s talk Mondays: Handwrite Appointments- Every single Monday I sit down with my planner and look at the week. I hand write all commitments, deadlines and reminders to make sure I can plan ahead and have no conflicts. […]

Blanket Scarf for Any Season

Winter Accessories that Transcend Season

Blanket Scarf (almost identical) | Denim Jacket (similar) | Grey Fitted Sweater Dress | OTK Boots (under $34!) | Sunglasses | Crossbody Bag (sold out, similar) We had actual icicles on our back porch this week and that is something I never thought I’d see whole residing at a Florida zip code. It’s fun to have these winter feels- even if it’s actually freezing (seriously temps have dipped below 30)! Therefore, I haven’t left the house without this blanket scarf all week. Mind you, these photos were shot the week before in 60 degrees and sunshine. What a difference a week makes! I actually received this blanket scarf as a gift and found it tucked away in my closet and thought, “where have you been all my life.” I promise you it will not be tucked away again anytime soon. From walking the dogs to paired with this little sweater dress- it adds a little something extra! From the plaid pattern and actual warmth it brings me, I love it. Even better? I was thinking about how the uses of this scarf can transcend season; scarf for winter, shawl for spring, beach blanket for summer sunsets on the beach and the […]

4 New Makeup Products to Try

4 New Makeup Products to Try

Lancome Bienfait Tenité Beauty Balm | IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Lines Foundation | IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Airbrush Perfecting Powder | IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes Oh my goodness, after almost 7 days of not feeling well I am back! I apologize for my inconsistency over the past several days, I just could not get the content together for these posts. I typically plan and shoot the photos a few weeks before it actually goes live. However, I leave the actual written content until a day or two before just because I feel like its more authentic that way. Anyways, with that came in the inability to stay on track in the midst of awful symptoms that have recently been affecting so many. Thankful to be on the mend and happy to be back here sharing these 4 products with you! For Christmas, my Mom gifted me with some new makeup to try and I have to say I am fairly obsessed. Since using these products, it’s safe to say I have a new regime and have found that my makeup lasts longer- without that mid-day shine that seems unavoidable. So here are the 4 new products I think you’ll […]

Pink Faux Fur Sweater

Pink Faux Fur Sweater

Pink Faux Fur Sweater | Step Hem Jeans (similar) | Blush Bucket Bag | Black Mules (similar) | Sunglasses If Friday were a sweater, this would be IT! Don’t you agree? It’s comfortable yet statement making with faux fur sleeves that are weekend ready. I referenced this sweater in my winter weather essentials post last week as I wore it throughout our holiday trip in Denver. Sleeves aside, I also adore the mock neck, length and hue of this little number. In a closet that’s stocked with grey and black sweaters, a pop of color and texture was just what my closet was seeking. Cue off topic chat: In everything surrounding this blog, I try to breath real life into my posts, social media outlets and more! It’s becoming more challenging to connect with people, even virtually, than it ever was before. Is it just me or Instagram no longer fun? I used to find so much inspiration coupled with amazing new people to follow without even looking. I’m finding this is no longer the case. But in reflecting about that fact the other day the words, “THERE’S MORE TO LIFE,” popped right in my head. With a fresh perspective […]

5 Ways to Save Money in 2018

5 Ways to Save Money in 2018

Bucket Bag (under $100!) Last week I delved into tackling the New Year and offered three suggestions for how to set your goals! I hope this post was helpful and thought provoking as you enter 2018. No matter what your goals, aspirations or passions surround there is usually one common denominator and that’s money. I talk in detail about the process we use to budget, here. In this post however, I want to focus on five ways to cut your spending. Don’t get me wrong, I too used to refuse to miss my manicure/pedicure every two weeks, eyebrow maintenance monthly, routine hair cut/color every six weeks and the list goes on and on. BUT cut all that out for just a short period of time and you’ll notice your bank account has a little extra (& welcomed) cushion. So here’s how to cut spending and save this January: Coffee & Your Couch: While living in Denver I would stop almost every morning to get a soy chai from Starbucks. Don’t mind the fact that soy milk is more expensive haha. I know it’s been said before but sipping coffee at home easily saves $20 each week. Plus, drinking my coffee […]

Winter Weather Essentials

Winter Weather Essentials

As the “bomb cyclone” (who was in charge of naming this?!) sweeps the east coast, it’s clear that we all need to bundle up! Here in Florida, we had freezing temperatures at the beginning of the week but we’re on the up and up now and I am thankful. However, I know that many of you, millions in fact, are being affected by this storm’s bone-chilling temperatures so take advantage of the weekend to stay inside, cuddle up and pretend like the holiday season hasn’t already come and gone! Over Christmas we went to Colorado to visit my family! We were lucky to have a white Christmas and also took advantage of all the winter feels- from ice skating to visiting an ice castle- we got our fill of snow and were ready to get back to our white sandy beaches instead. While in town we decided to take a day trip up to the Broadmoor to see the Christmas decor and indulge in some hot drinks and baked goods (#winterbod in full effect). I should have packed lighter than I did (don’t tell Mack) because this outfit is essentially what I wore the entire time. In most cases I […]

Goal Setting Tips for 2018

Goal Setting Tips for 2018

Do you have your 2018 planner set and ready to take on the New Year? If so, you’re one step ahead of me but I am using this post to outline my aspirations for 2018 right along side with you. Although our trip to Colorado was very fun, I was very unproductive (which I think was my plan, but now I am working to get back on track 😂). With that in mind, I heard something interesting on E! News last night during an interview with Hugh Jackman. He was asked what his New Years Resolutions are and he said he didn’t have any. Instead he explained that he simply sets a goal the morning of each new day and then rates himself before bed on how well he met that goal. I am always ALL about long-term goals. I set broad resolutions, list the small steps I’ll take to get there but rarely check in or hold myself accountable to those small steps. So this year, I am going to try Hugh Jackman’s approach (mostly because he was amazing in The Greatest Showman), to simplify the way I set my goals and meet them. Although Hugh Jackman didn’t elaborate […]

Little Mrs. Particular Turns Three + Giveaway

Little Mrs. Particular Turns 3

I am currently writing this post from my couch on #NYE with wet hair, dog print pajamas on, Mack by my side and two sleeping puppies at my feet. We traveled home from Colorado today and after a 12 hour day, there’s no place I’d rather be. Since this will be going live in the morning, it’s only appropriate that I kick it off with a Happy 2018! The New Year brings so much anticipation- of the new beginning, new opportunities and all that a fresh start can encompass. For me, it also brings my blogiversary and this day marks year three of running Little Mrs. Particular! As 2018 starts today, I just want to thank each and every person who has taken an interest in this platform and the passions I share here. From my readers to those that I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with, I am sincerely appreciative of you! I thought a lot about what I would write for this post but instead, I just wanted to thank YOU for giving me the opportunity to continue to curate content that I love in this space. With all that being said, I decided to giveaway a $50 Nordstrom gift card […]

Lace Top + Blush Bucket Bag

Lace Top + Bucket Bag

Lace Top | Step Hem Jeans | Leopard Booties | Blush Bucket Bag | Sunglasses (similar) If you’re traveling this holiday season than you’re going to need some outfits for the in-between! You know the kind- not dressy enough for Christmas Eve service but not as casual as pajamas to open presents on Christmas morning. Packing for a trip always poses a challenge when I try to plan for those days when we have nothing planned at all. I decided to be proactive and get this outfit before our Denver trip to have a go-to on hand. Granted, I will be wearing a giant coat the entire time I am there (hello, -3 degrees and snow), it’s what’s underneath that counts haha. When calculating an in-between outfit it’s important to consider three things; comfort, sophistication and a carry-all purse! These three key factors will ensure that your in-between outfit can take you from breakfast with family to shopping with Mom, and all the way to dinner plans with friends. I decided on jeans and block heel booties for comfort, a lace top for the elegant touch and my new blush bucket bag to tote everything for the day. This bucket bag was a […]
